To perform, promote, and preserve symphonic band music

Join us for an afternoon of classic and contemporary masterworks for concert band, featuring the Sequim City Band under the direction of Tyler Benedict and the Port Angeles High School Symphonic Band directed by Jarrett Hansen. This concert brings together generations of musicians from across the Olympic Peninsula in a shared celebration of music-making.

The PAHS Symphonic Band program includes Three Ayres from Glouster by Hugh Stuart, Sheltering Sky by John Mackey, and Primal Dances by Brian Balmages.

The Sequim City Band program includes Toccata Marizale by Ralph Vaughan Williams, An American Elegy by Frank Ticheli, Shepherd’s Hey by Percy Grainger, Khan by Julie Giroux, Incantation and Dance by John Barnes Chance, and Galop by Dmitri Shostakovich.

This free concert is open to the public — no tickets required. A bake sale hosted by the Port Angeles High School Band Boosters will also be available in the lobby, with proceeds supporting their program.
